Choosing the AC Hotel Cartagena by Marriott Bonvoy was one of the very best decisions of our trip. From the moment we entered the lobby, it was clear that this hotel was thoughtfully designed for both comfort and tranquility. The interiors are elegant and understated, with beautiful neutral tones, richly textured wallpaper, contemporary furnishings, and soothing décor that immediately creates a sense of calm. Our room featured luxurious down pillows, a high-quality orthopedic mattress, premium linens, and one of the most restful nights of sleep we’ve had while traveling. The spacious bathroom was beautifully appointed, adding to the feeling of understated luxury. Perhaps most impressive was how remarkably quiet the hotel is. Despite being located in the heart of Cartagena’s historic Old Town—within easy walking distance of cafés, restaurants, the marina, museums, plazas, and countless attractions—our room was peaceful and serene, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring.
